I still can't believe you photographed lightning. I showed me ma your shots and she got all excited. Apparently a bunch of her astro-cronies are lightning-photograph enthusiasts and even after years of shooting eclipses and auroras and transits and occaltations and whatnot, most of them STILL can't do lightning. She told me to tell you to take pictures of noctaluscent clouds- they're clouds that appear around midnight, 1 am-ish, about halfway up the the sky and look sort of light hazy, horizontal aurora. Yep. :)

That is phenomenal. How do you take a photo of something that's there for a fraction of a second? What kind of reflexes do you have? :O

Actually, I set the shutter speed to a full 16 seconds and hope that lightning strikes within the frame while it's open. It's still blind luck, but with a 16-second window, you're much more likely to catch something.
